Feige reminisced about Captain America: The Winter Soldier, highlighting its status as a beloved, grounded action thriller among fans. He assured that Cap 4 would uphold this tradition and previewed a new clip from the movie.

Mackie has portrayed the hero Sam Wilson since his debut in 2014's The Winter Soldier, appearing in numerous Marvel films before headlining his own series, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, on Disney+ in 2021. The series explored Sam's journey as he grapples with the idea of assuming the mantle of Captain America as a Black man in America following his friend Steve Rogers' retirement.

The new film follows Sam Wilson fully embracing his role as Captain America. Directed by Julius Onah, it introduces Harrison Ford to the MCU as Thunderbolt Ross, a character previously portrayed by the late William Hurt in other MCU projects. Danny Ramirez returns as Joaquin Torres, who takes on the mantle of Falcon from Sam Wilson. Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, Carl Lumbly, and Shira Haas also star.

The clip begins at the White House, where President Thunderbolt Ross summons Sam Wilson and asks for his help in rebuilding the Avengers. The scene then shifts to Ross thanking Captain America and Phoenix for their assistance during a crisis. Suddenly, loud music starts playing, confusing Ross. The music triggers a reaction in former soldier Isiah Bradley, who attempts to assassinate the president.

The footage generated significant interest, especially since Marvel has recently reduced its output to refocus and recalibrate after years of releasing numerous films and TV shows. This year, Marvel has only one film scheduled for release, with Deadpool & Wolverine set to debut in July, followed by just two films next year. Captain America 4 is slated to premiere on February 14, 2025, followed by Fantastic Four on July 25, 2025.

The clip concluded with a sizzle reel featuring Ross telling Sam, "You're not Steve Rogers," to which Sam replies, "I'm not."
