As the fight week kicks off, Jake Paul's trash-talking has commenced.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer is set to return to the ring this Friday against the relatively unknown Andre August.
August, a 35-year-old from Houston,
has significantly fewer Instagram followers compared to Paul. While Paul boasts
almost 26 million followers, August has just over 17,000.
In a recent interview with Fox News
Digital, August expressed surprise at getting the opportunity to face Jake
Paul, considering his relatively low profile compared to Paul's celebrity
status. However, Paul is not holding back in his approach to the upcoming bout,
and August acknowledges that dealing with newfound fame is an adjustment for
him.
During their joint press
availability on Wednesday, Paul confidently made a bold prediction about their
fight in Florida.
"I doubt he’s even going to land a punch. That’s really what it is,"
Paul stated, as reported by USA Today. "Sloppy feet, all that. … I’m going to just dust him up real quick, and
you’re going to see who the better boxer is."
"I’m going to pick him apart and show the world I’m the better boxer at the end of the day."
It's worth noting that Paul has not
secured a knockout since December 18, 2021, against Tyron Woodley. His
subsequent fights against Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz resulted in unanimous
decisions, while he suffered a split decision loss to Tommy Fury. Despite this,
Paul remains confident and has called one more shot for his upcoming match.

"And look for that knockout. It’s been too long without a knockout, so
I’m going to try to deliver that for the fans at home."
On the other hand, August, still
adapting to the newfound attention, maintained a more laid-back approach.
"I appreciate you for having me here, man," August said. "At the same time, I don’t have time for all
that talking."
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, August expressed that all the publicity he's received has been a bit of a culture shock.
"As far as with the interviews and the media stuff and all that, dealing
with all those different types of things, it’s kind of a juggle," he
shared.
His response to Paul seems consistent
with his personality.
"I’m a mellow-type guy, man. I’m 35, I don’t want to go in that yelling
and lip-talking, man. I’m not like that," he emphasized in the
interview.
The much-anticipated face-off
between the two is set to take place at the Caribe Royale in Orlando.
