Anya Taylor-Joy is taking on the lead role in Netflix's eight-episode adaptation of Bella Mackie's novel How to Kill Your Family. Produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd, known for Killing Eve, the series will explore the dark, vengeful journey of Grace Bernard, an illegitimate daughter who seeks revenge on her estranged millionaire father and his family.
Mackie herself serves as co-executive producer, while the show's lead writer, Emma Moran, known for Extraordinary, will also act as an executive producer alongside Sally Woodward Gentle, Lizzie Rusbridger, and Lee Morris from Sid Gentle Films.
Taylor-Joy, who will co-produce under her LadyKiller banner, expressed her excitement about the project, stating that after finishing the book, she was eager to bring the story to life alongside this talented team.
Bella Mackie expressed her excitement about the adaptation of her novel How to Kill Your Family, praising Anya Taylor-Joy's portrayal of Grace Bernard. She remarked that Taylor-Joy might understand the character even better than she does.
