Disney’s ‘Snow White’ Trailer: Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot Breathe New Life into a Classic Tale!

After years of diligently working on a new movie, Snow White is finally approaching her return to the big screen. Disney revealed the first trailer for Snow White at D23 on Friday, ahead of its March 21, 2025, release date.

Originally scheduled to debut in March of this year, the film's release was postponed by Disney for a year due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Highlighting its lengthy journey to the screen, stars Rachel Zegler (Snow White) and Gal Gadot (the Evil Queen) were present at D23 two years ago, showcasing the movie's first footage.

Marc Webb, known for directing The Amazing Spider-Man films, is at the helm of this feature, which includes songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the duo behind The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen.

The movie arrives nearly 90 years after Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which debuted in 1937 and became a foundational piece of the Disney empire. Various adaptations of the Brothers Grimm tale have graced the screen, from Lily Collins’ Mirror, Mirror to Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart.

This is one of several Disney live-action films set to release in the coming months. First in line is Mufasa: The Lion King, which debuts on December 20. Disney’s live-action remake business has been particularly strong, especially before the pandemic, with films like Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin routinely grossing $1 billion. The latest, The Little Mermaid, earned $569.6 million.
